Welcome to GMCSF Choir Genius!

We're excited to have you join us. To get started, please follow these simple steps to register for the first time in our Choir Genius system.

Otherwise, follow these easy instructions:

In either case, please read the details on the App at the bottom of this email.

Step 1: Register Your Account and Password

  • Visit the Registration Page by clicking on https://gmcsf.choirgenius.com or copy and paste it into your browser.
  • Click on Login" on the far right of the top menu bar.  Remember to enter the email GMCSF has on file or your assin gmcsf email ending in gmcsf.org.  
  • At the bottom of the login screen, click the link that says, "Click here to reset your password."The next screen will ask for your username or email address. If you are currently in Chorus Connection, you were uploaded to Choir Genius. Enter your email address and click "Send password reset email" at the bottom of the screen.
  • You will receive an email with a link labeled "Reset my password." Click on that link. (If you cannot find the password reset email, check your Spam/Junk folder)
  • Next, you will be taken back to Choir Genius, where you will be notified that you are using a one-time login. On that screen, click "log in."
  •  You will next see a screen where you can enter the password you wish to use and click "Submit."

 

Step 2: Member Home Screen – Update Your Profile

After setting your password, you will automatically be logged in and see your member home screen. On your left is a wide black menu bar. Near the top of it, click the link to your profile.

You will land on your profile screen, where you can see the information currently loaded in Choir Genius. Near the top of the screen, click the gray "edit" button.

Please fill in as much information as you can for your profile, including a new bio. Unfortunately, these did not import from Chorus Connection.

Also, please add a profile image of yourself. PLEASE remember that this photo is to help people learn who you are, especially new people. So please remember to:

  • Use a clearly focused headshot that clearly shows your face.
  • Do not include others in the photo
  • Use a current image that shows how you look today

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be sure you complete the emergency contact information. This is crucial to our ability to handle unexpected situations. Please do this without delay.

At the bottom of the screen, click the blue "Save" button.

Congratulations! You are now registered on Choir Genius.

We invite you to click the "Home" button in the black menu bar on the left to return to the member home screen. There, you can explore many of the features available to you.

Please note that we've added some working calendar events, music files, and related items. These are primarily intended to give you some items to work with and review. Full and accurate content will be added in the coming weeks.

WAIT! There is an App!

After completing your registration, please go to your phone's App Store to download the Chorus Genius app. Sign in, explore, and check out your profile. This user-friendly App consolidates all chorus-related information, including OneVoice, bulletins, the calendar, surveys, and the handbook. It also features a built-in MUSIC PLAYER and a customized set list for your rehearsal tracks and PDF FILES, eliminating the need to download them into a separate player and file folder. Everything you need is easily accessible, and the music player is custom-made for your voice type.

No More Excessive Emails! 

Choir Genius lets us send push notifications (pop-up alerts) for announcements and key messages, which you can access in the App.

Easy Sign Up to Volunteer for Events

Event and volunteer sign-ups will be performed in the App, making it easy for you to let organizers know when you can be expected to be present, helping the cause.

There's a lot more this software can do, so stay tuned!

For the moment, enjoy exploring the App and getting a feel for it. In the coming weeks, we will offer some online sessions to learn about specific things such as attendance, dues payments, communications, and more!
